MAIL ORDER PAINTWORK
HOW DOES IT WORK? – The first step is to call or e-mail us to request an order form which will be e-mailed to you. Please print off and complete this form, providing as much information about the package’s contents and work required as possible.
Upon receipt of your parcel we will photograph the contents and contact you with an accurate course of action and price for the work required. Once we have agreed terms we will send you an invoice for payment by BACS, to be paid before work starts.
On completion we will again photograph your components before packing and onward transmission.
RETURN POSTAGE AND PACKING – We will package all of your components in such a way as to minimise damage during transit. We will happily quote for return by courier. If you require this service please indicate on the order form. We are also happy for you to organise your own courier or for collection in person.
PRICING – The prices provided on the menu overleaf are based on a medium sized classic motorcycle. They are there to provide a guide only. We are aware that components for a 50cc bike are much smaller than those found on a 1000cc machine. Likewise damage (be it corrosion or accident) can only be properly assessed ‘in the flesh’. To this end all components will be assessed on arrival and an accurate quotation provided before work commences.
DISCOUNT – Discount is available for batch or bulk orders, ie 2 mudguards, 2 side panels and a tank will work out considerably cheaper when done together rather than separately. Likewise a batch of ‘black’ bits (ie mudguard stays, various brackets, yokes etc) can be quoted for as a whole rather than individually.
COLOUR MATCHING – every effort will be taken to provide as close a match to the existing colour(s) of the component, or a supplied sample, as possible. We will use the latest spectrometer technology to match the colour. Colour match, however, cannot be guaranteed and no warranty is implied.
TANKS – All prices based on stripping to bare metal, repairing as agreed, etch primer, HS primer and either solid colour or metallic basecoat and clear lacquer.

This formulation can then be used to make touch up pots, custom filled aerosols and paint for spraying. We only use 2k solvent based gloss and basecoat (for metallic). Cellulose is not available. Water based is available but is not suitable for aerosol use.

EPOXY TANK LINING – Ethanol content of modern petrol is known to cause serious damage to fibreglass tanks. Corrosion debris in a tank is also a serious problem. We can fix these problems by lining your tank with a pourable epoxy lining that sets solid and is fuel resistant.
